Yang Yueqi (b. 1995, Daqing, Heilongjiang) graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 2019, and currently lives and works in Yanjiao. His practice centers on fantasies in a vacuum, the overlap of the virtual and the real, and a sense of science fiction or mysticism, which together construct the real worlds within his paintings. His works are held in the collections of X Museum.
His solo exhibitions include: “CURTAIN”, Keyi Gallery (Beijing, 2025). The group exhibitions he participated in include: “MINUTIAE SED MAGNA”, Iris Art Museum (Suzhou, 2025); “The time has come – Case studies of 22 Artists”, Keyi Gallery (Hefei, 2025); “PORTRAITS – VISAGES OF THE YOUNG GENERATION”, LINE GALLERY (Beijing, 2024); “VESTIGES OF LIGHT”, Tang Contemporary Art (Beijing, 2023); “Walking in the Zoo is the most Serious Thing”, Keyi Gallery (Hefei, 2023). Art Fairs include: “ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair”, Art Fair (Shanghai, 2024); “Beijing Contemporary ArtExpo”, Art Fair (Beijing, 2024).
