This exhibition features the works of 27 artists, presented through video, installations, and paintings. It explores the recurring theme in an artist’s career or fate of finding their own toilet—whether it be a golden toilet in an art museum, a toilet in an apartment flushing away their works, or a toilet reclaiming its “property rights.”Amid these varied stories, the quest to find one’s own toilet is inevitably accompanied by faith and perseverance, navigating through the mists of history. As Lin Fengmian once said, “I am like the Sphinx, sitting in the desert. Great eras pass by one after another, yet I remain unmoved.”

For artists, life holds no misfortune. Despite different futures, everyone can find their own toilet.
